Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) is a public pension fund, established in 1947 and administered under the Texas Municipal Retirement System Act. Each TMRS participating city has its own retirement plan within the general framework of the Act. Provisions may vary from city to city, depending upon the options selected by an individual municipality.
