    Whilst it maybe easy to point the finger at the “greedy” fund managers, a large part of the reality is that the consultants’ own clients are resistant to adopting more aligned fee structures. Much of this would seem to boil down to the administration difficulties in dealing with anything other than asset based fees as well as a reluctance to pay mangers higher fees when their performance is high.
