Porvenir is a Pension and Severance Fund Administrator, established in 1991 as a Severance Fund only. However, in 1994, when Law 100 of 1993 came into force, an alliance was established with the AFP Provida SA of Chile, at the time the largest pension administrator in that country, to start operating as a Private Fund of Mandatory pensions. Currently, Porvenir manages a Voluntary Pension Fund, Mandatory Pension Funds and Severance Funds, as well as Autonomous Patrimony.
