Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System

The Teachers’ Retirement System is a comprehensive retirement plan for Kentucky’s public school teachers that includes a defined benefit, life insurance and retiree health insurance. TRS retirement eligibility is determined by the employee’s age and years of service. The service retirement annuity is a lifetime benefit.

West Virginia Public Employees’ Retirement System

The Public Employees’ Retirement was created in 1961. The West Virginia Investment Management Board (WVIMB) was created to be a professional, apolitical, financial management organization dedicated to the interests of the State’s teachers, public employees and workers in general, other State funds, and the fiscal health of the State.

Kentucky Retirement System

The Kentucky Retirement Systems (KRS) consists of the Kentucky Employees Retirement System (KERS), the County Employees Retirement System (CERS), and State Police Retirement System (SPRS). The system provides both a defined benefit (DB) pension and a health insurance program. It is primarily managed by the Kentucky Public Pensions Authority (KPPA)
