Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS) of Mississippi

Public Employees’ Retirement System of Mississippi (PERS) was established by the Mississippi Legislature in 1952. It is a retirement system for the non-federal public employees in the state of Mississippi. PERS also provides retirement benefits for public schools, universities, community colleges, municipalities, counties, the Legislature, highway patrol, and other such public entities.
